Update 07/04/2023
My brother Phillip Wagner graduated in 1968. I was in the class of 1970. Phillip passed away July 15, 2013 at the age of 63. He was a Vietnam Veteran, manning rescue helicopters with the Marines. At some point he was involved in the rescue of a wounded Clay High classmate. He spent his life dedicated to helping others. Holding a Masters from Indiana University, Phillip founded Rhythm of Hope, a non-profit dedicated to helping less fortunate youth in the ghettos of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His last gesture was donating his remains to science. Phillip loved his hobbies of photography and fishing while traveling the world. Phillip absolutely loved Notre Dame, where his grandfather played football in 1916. His claim to fame was being filmed as an "Extra" in the movie Rudy. Phillip left behind a son, Eugene of Seattle and two grandchildren, Anju and Ray. He was survived by five siblings and his mother.
