WARSAW, IN - Bruce Dean Swope, 56, of Warsaw, IN passed away at 6:21 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, IN. He was born on January 27, 1962 in Sunbury, PA to Buryl D. “Dean” & Cleda Ann (Lawhorn) Swope.

He grew up in the South Bend area and graduated in 1980 from Clay High School in South Bend, IN. He formerly worked for Indiana Department of Transportation for 18½ years and moved to Warsaw one year ago from North Liberty.

He was an avid fisherman & former hockey player.

He is survived by two daughters, Beatrice Cooper of Columbus, OH & Sophie Swope of Niles, MI; parents, Dean & Cleda Swope of Warsaw; sister, Christy Swope of Warsaw; and brother, Steven (Kathryn) Swope of Warsaw.

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County Chapel, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Cremation will follow and private family burial will take place at a later date.
