March 9, 1948 ~ September 15, 2023 (age 75)
Nancy A. (Nivens) Freese, 75 years old, passed away at 10:15 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Brickyard Healthcare, Mishawaka. Nancy was born on March 9, 1948 in South Bend to the late Dale R. and Pauline (Vlahakis) Nivens. She has remained a lifelong resident of South Bend. Nancy worked for F.W. Means in South Bend for 30 years. She was very proud to be a member of Teamsters Local 364.
Nancy is survived by her brother, Terry (Darlene) Nivens of South Bend and Sandy Camparone of South Bend; and nieces and nephews, Steven Nivens, Meagan Nivens, Amanda (Martin) Niedosik, and Christopher (Julie) Camparone. Along with her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her baby brother, Ricky Nivens, and brother-in-law, Glen Camparone.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Welsheimer Chapel, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 12:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
