PATRICIA  A. TAYLOR

(nee Lavis), age 80, passed away on May 13, 2022 after a battle with cancer. Beloved wife of 56 years to James S. Taylor, M.D.; dearest mother of Dr. David (Amy) Taylor, Dr. Margaret (John) Ruesch and Stephen (Shannon) Taylor; loving grandmother of Grace and Jane Taylor, Reese and Verity Taylor, and Victoria, Andrew and Nathan Ruesch; dear sister of Rosemary Powers and Charles Lavis; adoring aunt of many nieces and nephews. Trish was born in South Bend, IN and was a graduate of Washington Clay High School. She earned her B.S. in medical technology from Indiana University, where she met her husband, Jim. They were married on November 6, 1965 and relocated to Cleveland in 1966. Trish was a dedicated volunteer with multiple organizations: Gesu Church, Immaculate Conception School, Christ Child Society, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and Meals on Wheels. She was past president of Fairmount Garden Club and the Cleveland Clinic Staff auxiliary. She traveled with her husband to medical meetings around the world where she developed lasting friendships with a coterie of dermatologists and their spouses. Trish was warm and caring, so easy to like, giving and helpful to all. She was a whiz at cards, a green thumb, a chef, a knitter, a Cleveland sports fan, and a friend of the earth. Most of all, she was a very intuitive and compassionate person - a selfless wife, mom, grandma, and dear friend. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in memory of Trish to the Music Ministry of Gesu Church (University Hts., OH), Meals on Wheels, or Cleveland Clinic Hospice. Funeral Mass Friday May 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Gesu. (Please meet at the church.) The Mass will be live streamed on the funeral home website. Interment Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the SCHULTE & MAHON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 5252 MAYFIELD RD., LYNDHURST (BETWEEN RICHMOND AND BRAINARD) THURSDAY, MAY
