SOUTH BEND - Barbara Ann Anson-Lolmaugh, 77, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2009, in her residence.
Barbara was born on September 1, 1931, in New City, New York, to the late Leonard and Emily (Huttunen) Cashman. She had moved to South Bend when she was 16 and had lived in the area ever since. On February 2, 1957, in South Bend, Barbara married Bernard Anson, who passed away December 5, 1970. She was also preceded in death by her son, Joseph Anson.
On October 27, 1973, Barbara married john Lolmaugh, who survives along with her two sons, Scott E. (Becky) Anson of Edwardsburg, MI, and Marc A. Anson of South Bend; her stepson, Robert H. (Donna) Lolmaugh of Lewiston, Maine; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Bailey Anson, both of Edwardsburg; step-grandchildren, Meaghan and Stephen Lolmaugh of Lewiston, Maine; and by a brother, Leonard E. Cashman of Tahlequah, OK.
Barbara managed the gift shop for Air Host and she enjoyed traveling and gardening. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, June 23, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will also be from 9 to 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to the Mass.
Memorial contributions may me made to The American Cancer Society, 601 W. Edison Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545; and to North Shore Animal League America, 25 Davis Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050.
