Dwight Smith, 75, of Bittersweet Road, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 6:10 a.m. July 25, 2005, in I
ronwood Health and Rehabilitation.

Dwight was born July 30, 1929, in South Bend, Ind., to the late Mexico and Edith Smith.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelly (Darryl) Liscomb of Chesterfield, Virginia; two grandchildren, David and Megan Liscomb of Chesterfield, Virginia; and a brother, Malvern Smith of South Bend, Indiana.

Dwight had owned and operated Smitty's Marathon service station at the corner of Mishawaka Ave., and Twykenham for over 30 years. He enjoyed going to auctions and had worked as a handyman at Cressy & Everett after his retirement. Dwight was a US Air Force Korean War veteran.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services. Cremation has taken place at Michiana Crematory.
