North Fort Myers - Trudie Jean Vander Hout, 72, of North Fort Myers formerly of Glenwood, IL, passed away on March 30, 2018, after the lingering effects of several strokes.
She was home with family and friends surrounding here with love. She was born in Gary, IN, August 18, 1945 to Robert and Mildred "Mickie" (Nee Lilly) Wyllie. Trudie graduated from Clay Township High School in South Bend IN and received her Licensed Practical Nurse, Associate degree from Purdue University- Calumet Campus in Northwest IN. She was a passionate lover of Broadway musicals, and attended her children's musicals, choir and band concerts, and plays.
Besides her mother she is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Dirk, her daughter Heidi(Peter), son, Peter(Candy); grandson Yale; brothers Drs. Robert (Elaine), William(Madonna); and cousin Ginny(Chris).
She is preceded in death by her father, son, Robert Bruin, and cousin Mary Wyllie.
A celebration of Trudie's life will be at Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church 19251 N. Tamiami Trl, North Fort Myers, FL 33903, with services on Monday, April 2, 2018 beginning 1 PM. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the church, at the address above, Rehabilitation and Healthcare of Cape Coral, a not for Profit organization, 2629 Del Prado Blvd. Cape Coral, FL 33904, or Hope Hospice of Cape Coral, Development Office 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908, are deeply appreciated.
