WILLIAM "BILL" KLUTE

SOUTH BEND - William "Bill" Klute, 62, of South Bend, passed away unexpectedly on November 27th in his residence. Bill was born on August 7th, 1950, in South Bend, IN, to the late Walter and Catherine (McKeown) Klute. Bill was a lifelong residence of South Bend, IN.

He graduated from Clay High School in 1970 and attended Holy Cross College.

He was an avid amateur radio operator. He had been employed at South Bend Range, Patrick Molding in Elkhart and A.J. Wright in South Bend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a sister, Kathleen Standley, in 2010.

Bill is survived by his brother, Ronald Klute of Raleigh, NC; four nephews, Gilbert (Sally) Standley of Indianapolis, Dennis Standley of South Bend, Christian Klute and Grant Klute, both from Raleigh, NC; and one niece, Gail (Brian) Standley Hotchkiss of Madison, WI. He is also survived by seven great-nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held Friday, December 28th, at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Granger, where burial will take place following the memorial service. The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road / State Road 23, South Bend, handled arrangements and services and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Klute family.
