There will be a memorial service for Floyd Joseph Pearman at II am. Wednesday at Ranfranz Funeral Home Chapel in Rochester Minn. with the Rev. Michael Cronin officiating. Mr. Pearman, 35, of Oronoco, Minn. an IBM engineer, drowned Saturday (June 29, 1996) at his lake home in Hayward. Wis. Born June 8, 1961, in Philadelphia, Pa., he grew up in South Bend, Ind., and graduated from Clay High School in 1979. In 1984 he graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and moved to Oronoco.

On Aug. 11, 1984, he married Brenda Honkanen in Rochester. His wife is also an engineer al IBM. Mr. Pearman enjoyed wood-working and playing softball. He was a home brewer and a writer for Midwest Beer Notes. Survivors include his wife; his mother, Marcella Pearman of South Bend. Ind.; a brother, Sean of South Bend, Ind.; and a sister, Marci Daniel of Kalamazoo, Mich. His father preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. There will be no viewing. Memorials may be made to Paws and Claws Humane Society in Rochester Minn. or the American Lung Association.
