Emil Najarian Marquiss Williams

Emil Najarian Marquiss Lebron Williams, age 29, of South Bend, IN passed away Friday, July 2, 2021. Emil was born on November 20, 1991 in Chicago, IL and was raised in South Bend, IN by his parents Mary and Richard Williams.

 

Emil accepted Jesus at an early age and united with New Covenant Baptist Church with Pastor Nathaniel Bradford, then joined Grace Bible Baptist Church with Verneil Lewis, and later joined Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Ivy. Emil was an excellent artist; he was intelligent and super creative. Emil had a passion for movies, theatre, and music. At a young age he would memorize movie lines from any Disney movie and directed his siblings to reenactment them with him being the star of the show. Emil was a star in his life. In school, with his incredible ability to memorize and his eagerness to learn, he was able to accelerate from 1st grade to 3rd grade. Emil was a proud participant of the Robinson Community Learning Center and later became the first recipient of the James A Roemer Award, which highlighted students who showed great leadership amongst their peers. He graduated from Clay High School in 2010.

 

Emil was, as neighbors described, the “Neighborhood Angel.” Emil’s incredible spirit earned him his title by his helpful, loving, and caring character. He would lend a helping hand throughout the neighborhood from shoveling snow or raking leaves to sharing food or helping with housework of anyone who needed help. 

 

Emil loved volunteering at the Faith Baptist Food Pantry. He was a constant staple of the community and could be seen throughout the neighborhood walking, laughing, singing, and talking with everyone; he embodied not ever meeting a stranger. Emil enjoyed cooking for his loved ones especially for his mother. Emil was incredibly generous and compassionate with his family and friends as he ensured to call, send a card, or send a thoughtful gift, just because he was thinking about them. In Emil’s short life, his love, curiosity, fearlessness, selflessness, authenticity, kindness, and compassion made an incredible impact on everyone he encountered and loved.

 

Emil leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother Mary Williams; biological mother Melissa LeBron of Chicago, IL; grandmother Diane Alves of Chicago, IL; his godparents Mr. Martin & Mrs. Joan Hanley, god sister Patty Hanley and god brother Phil Hanley of Vancouver, Canada; and his loving Aunt Emma Hull of Benton Harbor, MI; Special Uncle, Donald Shepard of Chicago, IL; His siblings Mikisha Plesco (Oscar), Ebonique Wool, James E Troupe-Williams, Candace E Lebron-Williams, Cassia N Lebron-Williams, Paloma M Lebron-Williams, Brian DJ Lebron-Williams, Nolan Butler (Cameron), Isaiah Butler, Roshida Butler, Emmanuel Butler, Leon Burnett (Brenda), Robert Burnett (Cheryl), James Williams (Alecia), Warren Williams, Sonya White (Ken), Tonya Bannister, and Reginald Williams. Emil leaves behind his Godmother Ms. Michelle Patterson, god brother Devin Pope; Godmother Ms. Earthie Thompson; god sisters Ms. Velshonna Luckey (Mark) and Ms. Elizabeth (Bethann) Parker along with many others whom he recognized as his loving siblings. He also leaves behind his special nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and his friends.

Emil was preceded in death by his father, Richard Williams Jr., two brothers, Larry Williams and Richard Williams III, and grandparents Richard Williams Sr. and Jewel Williams.

Services for Mr. Emil Lebron-Williams will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Palmer Funeral Homes – West Chapel, 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend, IN 46628. Friends may call on the family for visitation for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Online expressions of sympathy may be left at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
