Patricia A. Romanski

Patricia A. Romanski, 86, residing in South Bend, passed away at 6:14 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022.  She was born March 19, 1935 in South Bend, a daughter of the late Walter & Frances Mary (Skodinski) Taberski, and has remained a lifelong resident.

On April 16, 1955 in South Bend, Pat was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard Romanski.  He passed away on November 5, 1987.  She was also preceded in death by a son Steven P. Romanski on Feb. 19, 2020, her sister, Dolores Joan Pruett, and her brother, Walter J. Taberski.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra Nickerson, and Pamela S. Horvath (Dan Schweizer) both of South Bend; and her son Anthony J. (Suzanne) Romanski of Columbus, IN.  Also surviving are twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Pat was a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church.  She retired in 2004 from South Bend Medical Foundation where she was employed for 23 years.  Prior to that, she worked at Memorial Hospital.  She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, tending to her flowers, traveling, and mostly, all the family get-togethers, especially for each holiday.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, at the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, where a parish rosary will be said at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at Holy Family Catholic Church with one hour of visitation prior to mass.  Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
