Sandra Mozelle Ruble (Hoskin)

Sandra Mozelle Hoskin
Apr. 21, 1935 - Jun. 16, 2017

Sandra Ruble Hoskin died peacefully on June 16, 2017, at home in Naranjo, Costa Rica at the age of 82.

She is survived by her husband, James; her daughter, Laura Cook (Bruce) of Austin, TX; stepsons Michael Hoskin (Andrea) of Columbus, OH, and Mark Hoskin of Niles, MI; two grandchildren; and four step grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother, Robert H. Ruble, and stepson, William H. Hoskin.

Sandra was born on April 21, 1935, in Aurora, IL to Robert and Hallie Ruble. She graduated from nursing school in Chicago, and later obtained her B.S. from the University of St. Francis in South Bend, and an M.B.A. from Houston Baptist University. Sandra's daughter, Laura, was born to her during her first marriage, but she married the love of her life, James, in 1974. After moving to Houston, TX in 1980, James and Sandra started a successful medical equipment business from which they retired in 2012. Their last adventure together was retiring to Costa Rica in 2013. Sandra was a devoted wife and mother, dedicated nurse, savvy business woman, and doting grandmother. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Following cremation, the scattering of the ashes will take place on June 20, 2017, at home in Costa Rica with immediate family and friends in attendance, followed by a celebration of life overlooking the lush river valley Sandra cherished every day with coffee and companions.

The family is grateful for condolences, but declines flowers and donations.
