Shirley J. (Fogle) Rusthoven

April 17, 1935 ~ January 23, 2023 (age 87)

Shirley Jean (Fogle) Rusthoven, our loving wife and mother has gone home to God on January 23, 2023. Born on April 17, 1935 and married to Aldrich Paul Rusthoven on June 2, 1962, she led a happy and full life of love with her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her mother and father Earl and Mildred Fogle and brother-in-law Ronald Peterson.

She is survived by her loving husband Aldrich, her sisters Beverly Ryan (Gilbert), Dorothy Peterson, and her brother Richard Fogle (Teresa); her son Douglas (Cindy); her son Michael (Ann) and their children Mary (Chris), Nickolas, Lily, and Clara; her daughter Kathleen (Jason) and their children Kaitlyn (Tyler), Jessica (Brandon), and Karleigh; her son Scott (Jody) and their children Brianna and Aiden; and her great grand-children Johnathan and Lenora. She will also be missed by her many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for a donation to Evangel Heights United Methodist Church 114 N Ironwood Dr. South Bend, Indiana 46615 or to the Center for Hospice Care, Ernestine M. Raclin House 501 Comfort Place Mishawaka, Indiana 46545.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 30 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46635. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 31 at 11:00a.m. at Evangel Heights United Methodist Church. A private family burial will follow.
