Kenneth Carl Wisler, 83, of St Joseph, passed away on January 1, 2018, at home with his family by his side.
Ken was born on July 27, 1934, in South Bend, IN to the late Carl and Velma Wisler. He graduated from Clay High School in South Bend. Ken was a United States Navy Veteran, serving for four years.
On March 21, 1964, he married the love of his life, Justine Northcott. He loved traveling to the Southwest region of the United States enjoying the scenery of the mountains and canyons.
Ken was an accomplished commercial artist and photographer. Being the artist he was, he taught the family to look at the natural beauty in the world that others overlook. Most of all, Ken loved spending time with his family and cherished his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Justine; children, Patrice (Todd) Wisler-Lohraff and Jennifer (Tim) Buzalski; grandchildren, Alyssa Wisler, Madison Lohraff and Abraham Buzalski; nephews, Bruce (Diane) Wisler, Terry (Janette) Wisler and cousins, Dick Wisler and Ron (Carol) Clindaniel.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul Wisler.
Ken was a kind and gentle man who valued privacy.
A family Celebration of Life will honor him in the spring.
