Charles Gregory Clark

Charles Gregory Clark

March 26, 1950-March 19, 2022

Known as Charlie –or Greg, if you followed his mother’s lead - he was a diehard Notre Dame, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. Charlie played baseball for Clay High School under the tutelage of coach Jim Reinebold and went on to play collegiate baseball at Kansas State. He later obtained his MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He lived and worked in South Bend prior to moving to Las Vegas, Nevada. In Las Vegas, he was a project manager for SR Construction.

Charlie was born March 26, 1950 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Charles E. and June C. (Metcalfe) Clark. Charlie grew up in a tightknit neighborhood, finding his best friend and future wife in the ‘hood. Charlie was a collector – of people, of hobbies, of sports trivia. For more than 60 years, Jay Park was his closest friend but there was room for new friends, especially George Stevenson, his Rampart gambling buddy.

Charlie married Paulette Thibault on June 8, 1991. Paulette brought to Charlie’s life his two greatest joys: Courtney and Jenna. Charlie believed in spoiling his ladies rotten – a trait he lavished on his niece as well.

He was a generous, kind and an epic storyteller. His laugh filled rooms and hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. and June C. (nee Metcalfe), sister Deborah (Clark) Treash and nephew, Christopher E. Treash. He is survived by his daughters, Courtney and Jena, grandchildren Francesca, Jack and Edie, brother-in-law Patrick A. Treash, niece Lauria Lynch-German (Mark German), and nephew Allan Treash. He is further survived by great friends, Jay Parker and George Stevenson, and his longtime wife and close friend Paulette (Thibault) Clark.

Charlie will be buried with his parents at a private ceremony.

In lieu of memorials, the family requests that you crack open a beer on a beautiful summer day, kick back and watch a ball game with family and friends.
