Ralph A. Stogsdill

June 7, 1954 – January 14, 2019

Ralph Allen Stogsdill, 64, passed away unexpectedly at Elkhart General Hospital on Monday.  Ralph was born in South Bend, IN on June 7, 1954 to the late Homer and Lucille (Hopper) Stogsdill. Also preceding him in death, were his wife, Janice Stogsdill; son, Robert “Robbie” Stogsdill; and sister, Connie Warner.

Ralph or “Ralphie” will be missed by his son, Ross (Ashley) Stogsdill; brothers, Roger (Shari) Stogsdill, and Homer (Judy) Stogsdill; sister, Norma (Don) Swanson; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

As a young man, Ralph, was a drag racer, and throughout his life enjoyed restoring old cars and trucks with his son, Ross. Ralph enjoyed working many years as a forklift mechanic. He lived for his family and was always there for you. He loved being with close family and friends, especially being part of his son and daughter’s daily lives. They were known as “The Three Musketeers.” Ralph loved traveling to Florida. He was like the neighborhood “Dad” and “Grandpa” to many. Ralph lit up the room with his smile and silliness and will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held for Ralph, on Friday, Jan 18th from 4-6 pm, at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, located at 13260 SR. 23, please enter off Cherry Rd.

In place of flowers, the family asks that a donation in Ralph’s name be made to The American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville, Ave. Dallas, TX 75231.
