George Walter Silberberg

George Walter Silberberg, age 58, of Arcadia, IN died March 6, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital at Indianapolis, IN.

He was born July 11, 1959 at LaCrosse, Wisconsin to Gene Walter and Florence Elaine (Lotz) Silberberg. His parents preceded him in death.

He graduated from Clay High School at South Bend, IN with the Class of 1978. He then received an Associate Degree in Tool and Die Technology followed by an Associate Degree in Injection Mold Tooling from Vincinnes University, graduating in May of 1981.

He had worked for several companies in the following capacities: tooling engineer and tool making, custom rubber molding, thermoplastic injection molding, design and engineering, welding, supplier of high tolerance medical components, plus numerous technical software skills among many additional work related accomplishments. Local companies he was affiliated with include Hurco at Indianapolis, Progressive Plastics at Elwood, IN, Metro Plastics at Noblesville, IN and Beckman Coulter at Indianapolis.

His true passion in life was his family and their activities. He had assisted with Cub Scout Pack #103 and Boy Scout Troop #103. At Hamilton Heights Schools he was involved with Tri Town Swim Club, Little Husky Basketball, Hamilton Heights Youth Soccer, and Hamilton Heights Stringers Soccer. He also did things for the following teams: Tennis, Basketball, Soccer, Golf and Cross Country.

His hobbies included golf, woodworking, welding, rebuilding engines, 3-D printers, and building custom golf clubs.

He married Susan Potter Silberberg on June 9, 1984. She survives him along with their three children: David C. Silberberg of Thornton, CO, Debbie L. Silberberg of Indianapolis, and Diane M. Silberberg of Arcadia, IN, plus a sister Beth Ann Apt of Plano, TX.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. at Arcadia Church of the Brethren, 8989 East 266th Street, Arcadia, IN 46030, with Pastor Mark Knapp officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. prior to the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hamilton Heights Education Foundation, P.O.
