Alan E. Jones

September 18, 1943 ~ February 1, 2022 (age 78)

Alan E. Jones, 78, residing in North Liberty, passed away peacefully during the early morning of Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in his home. He was born September 18, 1943, in South Bend, IN to the late Raymond and Elsie (Kuss) Jones.

On August 26, 1966, in Key West, FL, Alan married Sara E. Chambers which lasted for 51 glorious years.  Sara preceded him to heaven in July of 2018. Alan is survived by two sons, Ryan E. (Kim) Jones of Elkhart and Loren E. (Becky) Jones of North Liberty; four granddaughters, Emily (Logan) Russell, Taylor (Kodey) Maxwell, Ashley Jones, Brooke Jones and one great grandchild, Eli Russell; and two sisters, Barbara (David) Miller of Mishawaka, IN and Cheryl (Chuck) Ostrom of South Bend, IN.

Alan enlisted into the Navy for 6 years becoming a machinist/electrician while serving in the submarine fleet. After leaving the Navy, Alan applied his electrician skills at various companies, including spending over 30 years in the employ of Scottsdale Mall in South Bend. He was an active member of New Creation Fellowship Church in Granger.

Visitation is 4-7pm on Monday, February 7, 202,2 in Palmer Funeral Home – North Liberty Chapel 202 North Main Street, North Liberty, IN 46554. Funeral Service is 12noon on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, in New Creation Fellowship Church 30190 CR 10, Granger, IN 46530, with visitation one hour prior to the services in the Church.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Alan may be donated to the church.
