Duane D. “Buck” Clobridge

Duane D. “Buck” Clobridge, 92, of Leesville South Carolina, formerly of Niles, Michigan, passed away on April 22, 2023, at his home.

He was born on January 6, 1931 to Charles D. and Mary E. (Walsh) Clobridge in South Bend, Indiana.

After graduating from high school, Buck enlisted into the United States Marine Corp. proudly serving his country during the Korean Conflict.

On June 20, 1953 Buck married Eva Weinhold, at a ceremony at New Apostolic Church in South Bend, Indiana.  Buck went to work for Indian Bell, retiring after many years of service. He enjoyed being a taxidermist, he was very proud of the work he did. During his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing. He was an avid rifleman-winning several marksman awards. He used his creative talents with oil paints.  One of his greatest accomplishments was completely restoring a 1949 Mercury with his son Scott.

He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-two years, Eva, his parents, and his sister Shirley Barnes.

He is survived by his two sons, Steve Clobridge of Leesville, South Carolina; Scott (Kathy) Clobridge of Batesburg, South Carolina; a daughter Susan (Tod) Richard of Orange Park, Florida; along with eleven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 521 East Main Street, Niles with a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. A private burial will be held at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Parkway, where he will be laid to rest next to his wife.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Niles.
