Keith E. Stone, 80, of Granger, died Friday in Memorial Hospital. The South Bend native was born September 24, 1934 to Aubrey & Wanda (Weiss) Stone.

Keith graduated from Washington Clay High School with the Class of 1953 and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Keith was a electronic service technician and retired from Sears. He was a member of Kane Lodge, #183 F.&A.M., the Pleasant Valley Men’s Association and served for 32 years as an usher for Notre Dame football games. Keith was a master woodworker who enjoyed making furniture for his family and he also enjoyed the time spent with friends at his Wednesday morning breakfast club.

In addition to his parents, Keith was also preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Bennett and brothers, Ronald & Larry Stone. He is survived by his wife, Connie Stone of Granger; son, Ronald (Cathy) Stone of Edwardsburg; daughters, Catherine (Christopher) Harris of Edwardsburg and Cheryl (Ray) Lemon of South Bend; brothers, Jack (Lois) Stone of South Bend & Lee Stone in Florida; sisters, Donna Hobbs and Judy (Gordon) Boyd, both in Florida; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services 10:00 Wednesday April 15, 2015 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Friends may call Tuesday 4-8pm in the funeral home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family’s preferred memorial is the Pleasant Valley Men’s Association.
