Diana L. Sawdon

March 20, 1971 - Sept. 13, 2016

SOUTH BEND - Diana L. Sawdon, 45, of South Bend, passed away on Tuesday, September 13th, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, with her family by her side.

She was born on March 20, 1971, in South Bend, IN, to Larry W. and Linda L. (Beerwart) Sawdon. She was a Michiana area resident, graduating from Clay High School. She loved her job working for Teachers Credit Union for 19 ½ years in the Maintenance Department.

Diana is survived by her parents, Larry and Linda Sawdon of South Bend; her sister, Patty (Dale) Werner of South Bend; her two brothers, Robert (Jannell) Sawdon and Michael (Laura) Sawdon, both of South Bend; and her dog, Susie. She was an Aunt and Great Aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Diana was a Great Aunt to two babies already preceding her to heaven.

She enjoyed doing crafts, going shopping, singing Karaoke, and listening to all kinds of music. She loved spending time and doing things with her family. She was a member of Sumption Prairie United Church, South Bend.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 16th, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel,” located at State Rd. 23/W. Ireland Rd., South Bend. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 17th, with visitation one hour prior at Sumption Prairie United Methodist Church, located at 24535 Roosevelt Road, South Bend, with Pastor Trenton Prieshoff officiating. Burial will follow at Sumption Prairie Cemetery, South Bend.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Sumption Prairie Church, 24535 Roosevelt Road, South Bend, IN 46614; or to the Greene Twp. Lions Club, 61271 Poppy Road, South Bend, IN 46614.
