Margaret C. (Finneran) Wagner

Margaret C. (Finneran) Wagner, 95, residing in Avondale, AZ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2023. She was born December 30, 1927 in Columbus, OH, to the late Francis and Katherine (Lawler) Finneran.

On October 25, 1947 in South Bend, IN, Margaret married Theodore P. Wagner Jr. who preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Paul J. Wagner and his wife, Irene of Avondale, AZ; her daughter, Kathleen Wallace and her husband John Roenfeldt of Littleton, CO; her son, Walter Wagner of Lakewood, CO; her son, Charles Wagner and his wife Karen of Lyman, SC, and her daughter, Mary Powell and her husband Robert of Garden Valley, ID. Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Phillip, her parents, her husband, and all of her siblings, Patrick, Thomas, Eileen, Raymond, Jack, and Michael. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.

Margaret was a graduate of Clay High School. She worked as a Cook at St. Mary’s College, South Bend, IN. She was a parishioner at the Sacred Heart of Jesus where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, the church choir, and a Eucharistic Minister.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the Sacred Heart Parish Center, 104 The Presbytery, Notre Dame, IN 46556. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN.
