Christine R. Gember, 65, of Mishawaka, Indiana was found dead in her home Saturday, December 22, 2018.

Christine was born on February 13, 1953 in South Bend, Indiana to Edmund J. and Mary Jane (Brosk) Gember, and was a lifelong resident.

She had been formerly employed with Healthwin Specialized Care as a Dietary Aid. She had also been a volunteer for the American Heart Association for 8 years and the Mental Health Association for 5 years.

Christine is survived by her two sisters, Maria J. (Wayne) Mitchell and Paula G. (Dwayne) Young both of St. Louis, Missouri; and her four brothers, Gregory N. Gember, Guy J. Gember, and Edmund C. “Ned” (Katie) Gember all of Bloomingtion, Indiana and Jon J. Gember of Chicago, Illinois.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2018, in Sacred Heart Chapel located in the Sacred Heart Parish Center, Notre Dame, Indiana. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be begin at 12:00 Noon Friday with a rosary prayed at 12:30 p.m.

Christine was a 1971 graduate of Clay High School. She received her Associates Degree in Dietary Assistance from Ivy Tech in 1982. Christine had recently made a trip to Bloomington, Indiana where she was happy to visit with her four brothers. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and volunteered at the Parish Center from 2004 – 2016, helping with mailings. Christine enjoyed hooking rugs as well as other hobbies such as cooking and sewing when she was younger.
