SOUTH BEND - Services for Carmen R. Rice, 52, of Terrace Lane, who died of natural causes at 6:05 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, South Bend Eagles Auxiliary and Michiana Invitational Dart League, and was a graduate of Washington Clay High School.

SOUTH BENDCarmen R. Rice, 52, of Terrace Lane, died of natural causes at 6:05 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Rice was self-employed in child care. She was born Jan. 15, 1944, in South Bend. She is survived by her daughter, Tara Szymczak of Osceola; a son, Christopher R. of Mishawaka; a grandson; her mother, Arlone Fick of South Bend; a sister, Loren Grahek of Houston; and a brother, Larry W. Fick Jr. of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
