THOMAS CARRICO

Thomas Carrico April 5, 1957 - March 7, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Tommy passed away peacefully in Greenville, South Carolina, after an illness. He was born April 5, 1957, in South Bend, IN, to John E. Sr. and Catherine E. (Hayden) Carrico, who preceded him in death along with brother, Robert (Kenny) Carrico, and sister, Catherine Lois.

Tommy is survived by sisters, Barbara (Charles) Blair of Mishawaka, IN, and Sharon Loeffler of Phoenix, AZ. Brothers, John E. Jr. (Theresa) of Granger, IN, Joseph (Linda) of Castle Rock, CO, Fred Sr. (Mary) of South Bend, IN, Daniel (Debra) of Osceola, IN, and David Carrico of Indianapolis, IN. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many cousins. Special friend and caregiver, Geri Smith of Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Tommy loved his family very, very much. Each and every one of them. Tommy also had many friends. He loved them too. Wherever he went he always saw someone he knew. Tommy had the biggest heart of all. He would do anything for anyone anytime if he could. He also gave the biggest and best hugs ever.

A graduate of Clay High School, Tommy loved fishing, camping and going to Kentucky to visit family there. Tommy was passionate about his music. A very talented drummer, he played with many local bands. Southside Denny and Smokestack Lightening, Backtalk, The Poor Boys Band, to name a few. The most recent, Pawnshop Reunion, with his niece, Katie Lynn. One of Tommy's proudest moments was when he got to sit in with The Marshall Tucker Band. Tommy will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. There will always be an ache in our hearts. Always a smile when we think of him.

Cremation has already taken place as was Tommy's wish. A memorial will be held at a later date. A special Thank You to Bubb Funeral Chapel for assisting the family with arrangements.
