SOUTH BEND - Yul Patrick Hubbard, 42, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012, in his home at 12:15 p.m. He was born on June 17, 1970, to Barbara Hubbard, in South Bend, Indiana.

He graduated from Clay High School and attended Indiana State University, Terre Haute. He was employed by the University of Notre Dame for 18 years as a Crew Leader Stadium Coordinator in the Athletics Department. He played football and baseball, and loved to fish. He frequently visited the priests and other clergy of the University. He had a caring spirit and shared it with those he met.

He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories his mother, Prophetess Barbara (Bishop Donald) Boykins of South Bend, Indiana; grandmother, Annie Hubbard; sisters, Celeste (Mike) White of Houston, Texas, and Annette Atobajeun of Houston, Texas; his children: a son, Jacob Hubbard; and daughters, Lexi Hubbard and Ashley Smith; four uncles, Richard (Sharon) Hubbard, Teddy King, all of South Bend, Indiana, Prophet Calvin (Diane) Hubbard and Yul (Nancy) Hubbard, all of Houston, Texas; two aunts, Frances (Craig) Smith of St. Louis, Missouri, and Catherine Davis of Dayton, Ohio; two cousins, Richard Hubbard Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri, and Landon Hubbard of Dayton, Ohio; a close friend, Rodney Strozewski; along with many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Hubbard; and uncle, Willie Anthony Hubbard. Funeral services for Yul P. Hubbard will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012, in the Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home Inc., 2702 Lincoln Way West. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and services at 12:00 noon.
