TARA SUE (LEHMAN) MILLER

MISHAWAKA - Tara Sue Miller, 41, residing in Mishawaka, IN, died in the arms of her loving husband, surrounded by her family. Tara fought a three-month battle with colon cancer until the bitter end with the strength and love of family and friends.

Tara was born on June 17, 1969, in South Bend, IN, to John H. Sr. and Sandi (Tam) Lehman, and remained a lifelong resident. On May 11, 1991, in Homasassa Springs, FL, she married Terry E. Miller, who survives. Along with her loving husband, Terry, she is survived by her daughter, Corey Miller, and sons, Adam Miller and Joe Miller, all at home; her mother, Sandi Lehman of Edwardsburg; brother, John (Nicole) Lehman Jr. of Mishawaka; half sister, Carrie Thompson of South Bend; maternal grandmother, Harriet Tam; paternal grandmother, Helen Lehman; and Terry's parents, Merv and Shirley Miller of Osceola.

Her father, John H. Lehman Sr., preceded her in death in 1993.

Tara was a devoted wife and mother with a zest for history and educational vacations with the family. Camping was a favorite. She was an avid reader, crafter of "toadily handmade" crafts. She enjoyed singing, gardening, disc golf, pool and winning many trophies for pool. Tara was a great cook and enjoyed trying new dishes on her family.

She was a 1987 graduate of Clay High School. Tara was a member of Relay for Life.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Tracy Faudree will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 9-11 a.m. Saturday prior to services in the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Tara Miller may be made to the Palmer Funeral Home.
