Thomas G. Frisz, 86, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 10:45 a.m., Saturday, October 13, 2012 in Hospice House.
Thomas was born on September 25, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN. He retired on April 1, 1982 from the Bendix Aviation Corporation, where he was employed for 35 years. He had been a Process Engineer, NC Machine Programmer, and Senior Buyer. On June 17, 1950, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Bend, IN, he married Mary Ann Fokey, who preceded him in death on January 25, 2010.
Also preceding him in death were two sisters, Kathleen Nice and Ruth Myers; two brothers, Richard and John Frisz, and a grandson, David. Thomas is survived by two daughters, Christine (Michael) Elliott of Plymouth, IN and Jeanne (Joe) Kaniewski of South Bend, IN; two sons, Thomas E. (Susan) Frisz of South Bend and Donald (Janet) Frisz of Scottsburg, IN; eight grandchildren, Scott Frisz, Bryan Frisz, Sara Kaniewski, Beth Kaniewski, Matthew (Kim) Elliott, Jessica Frisz, Christopher Frisz, and Tracy (Jeff) Ellinger; one sister, Margaret "Marge" Ringer of South Bend, IN; and one sister- in-law, Beverly Frisz of Orange City, Fl.
Private family graveside services will take place at a later date. Thomas was member of Christ the King Parish. He was a W.W. II Army Veteran and member of the V.F.W., American Legion Post #50, Bendix Salaried Retirees Club, and the Mercedes Owners Group.
