Richard A. 'Dick' Beall

BREMEN - Richard A. "Dick" Beall, age 66, of Bremen, passed away surrounded by his family at 2:10 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at his residence after an illness. He was born July 31, 1948 in Argos to Wilbur Wesley and Dorothy (Staner) Beall. He lived most of his life in this area. On April 12, 1975, he married Deanna Aguirre in South Bend.

Mr. Beall was a 1966 graduate of Clay High School. He received his degree from Indiana University in 1971 and his master's degree in 1976. Dick was a partner in Church Growth Services which promoted Church Development and Stewardship, prior to that he was the executive director of Mishawaka YMCA until 1976 and the managing director of the American Lung Association of North Central Indiana until 2000. He also taught Adult Business Degree Program Completion at Bethel College from 1990 - 2012.

Dick was a member of Nappanee Missionary Church for 30 years, where he served as a Small Church Pastor. He loved teaching. Dick loved his grandchildren and was very involved in their activities from kayaking, camping, outdoor activities to shopping and movies. The Beall family enjoyed camping. They enjoyed going to Door County, Wis. and northern Michigan.

Mr. Beall is survived by his wife, Deanna; children, Chris (Kim) Beall, Rochester, Jon Beall, Bremen, Brian (Sheri) Beall, Fort Wayne, Allison (Chad) Burkholder, Milford; grandchildren, Mason and Makenna Beall, Rochester, Noah, Gideon, EllaJane Beall, Ft. Wayne, Wesley, Grady, and Catelynn Burkholder, Milford; sisters, Sue (Tom) Thompson, Plymouth, Mimi (Arnold) Kriegbaum, Reedley, Calif.; and brother, Bill (Arlene) Beall, Traverse City, Mich.

Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 14 at Nappanee Missionary Church Chapel and for one hour prior to the Funeral Service which will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 15 at the Church. Pastor Dave Engbrecht will officiate. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice.
Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
