SOUTH BEND - Larry Ralph Harrell of Gold Run, California, passed away after a short illness on November 17, 2013, in Auburn, California. Larry was born on April 25, 1948, in South Bend, Indiana, to Ralph and Frances Harrell.

He graduated from Clay High School in 1966.

Larry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Alice (Ladwig), and a son, Matthew of Grass Valley, California. He is also survived by a sister, Kathi Hussman, and brother-in-law, David of Gardnerville, Nevada, and a nephew, Beau Valory of Reno, Nevada.

Larry spent his life as a skilled craftsmen and woodworker creating wonderful additions and outdoor living spaces for his customers and friends. His love of trains as a child continued into adulthood and he was a Docent at the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento, California. He was also a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan as were his parents and grandparents. He loved to go to San Francisco to see the games when the Cubs were in town.

Per his request, there will be no services but donations in his name may be made to the California State Railroad Museum at foundation@CSRMF.org.
