OSWEGO, IL - Thomas Dean Lindzy, age 65, of Oswego, IL, died suddenly on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at his residence. He was born June 8, 1947, in South Bend, IN, the son of the late Ralph G. and Beryl I. (nee Weinberg) Lindzy.
Tom was employed as a building engineer at Long Beach Elementary School and formerly at Fox Chase Elementary Schools in the Oswego School District #308. He had worked as a tile setter for many years in the South Bend, IN, area, owning his own business and working for Factory Tile.
Tom is survived by his wife, Debra K. (nee Roberts) Lindzy; a daughter, Anna (Joshua Hill) Lindzy of Wetumpka, AL; three brothers, William (Sandra) Lindzy, Jack (Nancy) Lindzy and Richard (Judy) Lindzy, all of South Bend, IN; several nieces & nephews; and the mother of his daughter, Elizabeth Lindzy of Tarpon Springs, FL. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Bob Lindzy.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012, from 1:00 until a time of sharing at 5:00 PM at the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN, 574/272-2244. Cremation was accorded the wish of the family at American Crematory of Oswego, IL.
