Aunt Eileen, my mother's sister died yesterday in a wonderful California hospice center, not far from her Oceanside home. Uncle Bob and she built a beautiful home that they graciously hosted many of his Marine functions.

She was a consummate hostess. Very gracious. Very pretty. She always wore make-up and had a bouffant black hair-style. Her passion was designing and flowers. Everything she touched had an artistic flair. Her home was a lovely collection of Asian items that Uncle Bob brought back from his overseas trips.

It is so sad to see our family end with Aunt Eileen's death. May she rest in peace now and be reunited with her family in Heaven!

Aunt Eileen was cremated and placed near her husband's casket.
