MONTICELLO — Donald G. Stuhmer, 61, Raleigh,
N.C., a former Idaville resident, died at
6 p.m. Friday in his residence.


He was born Feb. 19, 1924, to Adolph and
Josephine Benjamin Stuhmer. He was married
to Martha Coleman Wardlaw, who survives.
He worked as a pilot for several years with
Trans-World Airlines.


He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church,
Raleigh.


He had lived in Raleigh for 12 years,
having previously lived in Idaville and Los
Gates, Calif.


Also surviving are two sons, John Karl, Raleigh,
and Geoffrey Paul, stationed with the U.S.
Army in Giebelstadt, West Germany; a
daughter, Linda Josephine, Raleigh; and a
brother, Karl, Wichita, Kan.


Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m.
Wednesday in Idaville Cemetery, with Pastor
Mark Newbold officiating.


Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
