Rosemarie Keresztes

Rosemarie Keresztes, 80, of Redford, Mich., formerly of Magnolia Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, July 25, in Presbyterian Village, Redford.

Mrs. Keresztes was born on July 29, 1923, in South Bend, to Ignac and Amalia Vilez. On July 25, 1942, at Notre Dame, Ind., she married Julius Keresztes, who died on Dec. 25, 2003. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Elliott and Mary Fleischaker; and by two brothers, John Vilez and Gabriel Velez.

Surviving are two daughters, Jeanne Rose Keresztes of Brisbane, Calif., and June (Dr. Fred) Marshall of Farmington Hills, Mich.; a son, Julius Keresztes of Orland Park, Ill.; and four grandchildren Adam, David, Jill and Jennifer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 29, in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Ave., where a Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
