SOUTH BEND - Theodore Phillip Wagner Jr., 71, of 54400 Maple Lane, died at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday in his home after an illness. Mr. Wagner retired from Wheelabrator-Frye Corp., Mishawaka, and AlliedSignal. He was born Feb. 25, 1923, in Mishawaka, and was a lifelong area resident.

On Oct. 25, 1947, in South Bend, he married Margaret C. Finneran. She survives with two daughters, Kathleen Rose Wallace of Littleton, Colo., and Mary Margaret Powell of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; four sons, Paul J. of Saline, Mich., Phillip J. of Indianapolis, Charles T. of Shelby, Mich., and Walter F. of Littleton; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters, Theresa A. Joseph of Granger and Mary A. Wilkinson of Sturgis. He was a member of Michiana Heart Support Group, Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers and Sacred Heart of Jesus. He was a veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, where the parish rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Michiana Heart Support Group or Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
