Rhoda Bailey, 87, of Elkhart died at 8:58 p.m. Thurs. May 16, 2013 at East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Rhoda was born July 16, 1925 in South Bend to James and Flora Moore.
She married Robert E. Bailey on Jan. 17, 1945 in South Bend. He died Oct. 1, 2005.
Rhoda is survived by daughter, Susan M. (Kenneth) Slough of Elkhart; sons, Robert Bailey, Jr., Stewart Bailey both of Elkhart, Jeffrey Bailey of Cassopolis, MI; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Horvath of Huntsville, AL and a brother, James Moore of Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; daughter, Flora Elizabeth Stern and son, James R. Bailey.
Memorial services are pending and will be scheduled at a later date. The body will be cremated.
Mrs. Bailey was a housewife and co-owner of Baymor Farm Market in Elkhart until her retirement.
