Judith (Judy) Marie O'Brien

SOUTH BEND, IN - Judith (Judy) Marie O'Brien passed away in Naperville, Illinois, on December 10, 2018, at the age of 76 years. Judy was born to John A. and Eloise Kaminski on March 3, 1942, in South Bend, Indiana; they both preceded her in death. Also preceded in death was her husband, Homer O'Brien in 1996.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Sheri Hardin (spouse Deon) of Cape Coral, FL; sons, Michael O'Brien (spouse Dawn) of Naperville, IL and David O'Brien (spouse Kelly) of Arlington Heights, IL; grandchildren, Jake, Dakota, Dylan, Aidan, Kyle, Megan, Tyler, and Logan; and 3 great-grandchildren, Braxton, Isabella, and Finleigh. She is also survived by her siblings, Jim Kaminski of St. Petersburg, FL, Bill Kaminski of Edwardsburg, MI, and Tina Sanders of South Bend, IN.

Judy attended Clay High School in South Bend and then moved to Griffith, Indiana with her husband Homer, where they raised their 3 children and also became valued and dedicated members of the Dyer Presbyterian Church. Judy also enjoyed making and selling her crafts, and she became very successful in selling her exceptional work at various festivals in Northwest Indiana and her second home in Bridgeton, IN.

Services for Judy will be held Sunday, December 16, 2018, at the Dyer Presbyterian Church in Dyer, IN, with visitation beginning at 12 Noon Central Time, and services at 1:00 p.m. At a later date, she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Homer, at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crown Point, IN.
