Dean C. Waggoner

NILES - Dean C. Waggoner, age 51, passed away peacefully at his home in Niles, MI on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. He was born on January 24, 1967 in South Bend, Indiana to Lamont (Monty) Waggoner II and Kristina Kay (Miller) Waggoner.

Dean attended Clay High School from 1981-1985. Dean married Nicole (Shaw) Waggoner June 6, 1988 in South Bend, Indiana.

After high school Dean worked for Shaw Tree Experts as an arborist. Dean loved being outdoors, spending time at the lake fishing, as well as waterskiing. Dean and his family were also avid motocross racers, and spent weekends at surrounding motocross tracks. Dean enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and always had a positive outlook on whatever he was doing.

Dean is survived by Nicole Shaw of Elkhart; two sons, Dean Waggoner of South Bend, and Douglas Waggoner of Mishawaka; father, Lamont M. Waggoner II; mother, Kristina Kay (Miller) Waggoner of South Bend; and brother, Lamont M. Waggoner III of South Bend. Family, friends, and others whose lives Dean has touched are invited to Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd., South Bend from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Brian Durand officiating.
