GRANGER - Barbara Ann Horvath, 64, of Granger, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 in her residence. Barbara was born May 21, 1953, in South Bend to the late Frederick Harwood and Leona (Lauby). On December 2, 1972 in South Bend, Barbara (Harwood) married Donald Steven Horvath, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Marc Andrew Horvath of Granger, and Joseph Stephen (Anne) Horvath and granddaughter, Emma Horvath of Fort Mill, South Carolina; two sisters, Laurie (Harwood) Clark of Niles and Susan Shisler of Franklin, TN; three brothers, Paul (Kay) Ostrom of Colorado Springs, CO, Chuck (Cheryl) Ostrom of South Bend, and Andrew Harwood of South Bend; sister-in-law, Judith Kay Cauffman of Mishawaka, and seventeen nieces and nephews. Barbara was a graduate of Clay High School and Vogue Beauty College. She was a licensed Pharmacy Technician in the Surgery Department at Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center for 29 years. Barb was everyone's friend and never knew a stranger. She was a kind person and had a love for all animals. She put her heart into everything she did and loved to cook. Her smile and laughter will be remembered by all who knew her. Her passion was her husband, her sons, her granddaughter, and her beloved pets, Barney and Baby. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, with Rev. Eric Burgener of St. Pius X Catholic Church officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, at the funeral home.
