Roger Dale Stogsdill, 70, of Peru and formerly of Granger passed away on February 2, 2021 in Vienna, MO. The South Bend native was born on December 2, 1950 to the late Homer and Lucille (Hopper) Stogsdill and attended Clay High School. Roger started his career at White Farm Equipment, then continued on to own and operate R.S. Construction while serving as a volunteer firefighter at Harris Township Fire Dept.; and before retiring he was head of Maintenance at Holy Cross. Roger used his construction knowledge to buy, renovate, and rent many rental properties in the Mishawaka area. His passion was racing stock cars at South Bend Motor Speedway, building hot rods, collecting coins, hunting, bowling, and spending time with his wife and family. He dedicated over 17 years of his life to being a caregiver to his wife, the love of his life, Shari.

He is survived by his two daughters, Angela (Ryan) Betzner of Vienna, MO and Amy Lynn (Bill) Hayden of Jensen Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Kirstin Jacobs, Ross and Eli Betzner; his brother, Homer (Judy) Stogsdill Jr.; his sister, Norma Swanson; and his best friends, Steve & Carla Hartz including sons Rob Lind & Eryn Hartz; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shari Stogsdill (Karaszewski), mother-in-law, Patricia Karaszewski, brother, Ralph Stogsdill and sister, Connie Warner.

Friends of Roger may visit on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 5PM-8PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN 46561. A private Service for Roger will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 10AM and burial will be in Chapel Hill Memory Gardens.
