MISHAWAKA - Toni Lynn Aldridge, 65, of Mishawaka, passed away at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 12, 2012) at her home. She was born March 28, 1947 in Mishawaka to Charles & Ruth (Comer) Allen.
Surviving is her companion of over 25 years, Richard Daly of Mishawaka; a daughter, Kimberly (Timothy) Bare of Mishawaka; 1 son, James Gregory Aldridge of Mishawaka; a stepdaughter, Angie (Keith) Donihoe of South Bend; 2 stepsons, Kerry Daly and Richie Daly of South Bend; 7 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter and one great-grandson. Also surviving is her father, Charles Allen of Osceola; her mother, Ruth Radics of Mishawaka; 2 brothers, Terry (Charmane) Jordan of Portage, MI & Kent (Cheryl) Carlysle of MA; and 2 sisters, Toby (Terry) Personnet of South Bend and Debra Hensley of Osceola. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Jordan.
Toni was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the VFW Post #360 in Mishawaka; she enjoyed cooking and crocheting. Toni was a force to be reckoned with at times, but she loved her family with a passion, friends with fierceness and animals with a childlike heart. She had a heart of gold; if you were hungry she would feed you, if you needed shoes she would give you hers. She will leave a hole in many hearts. For most of her life she was a waitress and cook at many area restaurants.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Elkhart Cremation Service is entrusted with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be given to Southern Care Hospice or the Pet Refuge.
