SOUTH BEND - Jeffrey D. Manley, 52, of South Bend, passed away at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2010, in Memorial Hospital. He was born September 20, 1957, in South Bend, to the late James Daniel and Violet May (Page) Manley. J

effrey graduated from Clay High School and remained a lifelong area resident.

He was a welder for Industrial Metal Fab, Inc., and Builders Iron Works, Inc. Jeffrey was a member of the Michiana BMW Motorcycle Club, Monson Community Church and Christ Chapel. He loved to play guitar and listen to music as well as repair everything, including cars and motorcycles.

Jeffrey is survived by one daughter, Shilah (Daniel) Manley Semple of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Tyler, Gage and Tristyn Semple, and Ashton Brewer; three sisters, Norma Kay (Lynn) Smith of Akron, IN, Elizabeth M. Lindzy of Tarpon Springs, FL, and Angela (Walter) Wiltfong of North Liberty; and four brothers, James D. Manley Jr. and Rick Manley, both of South Bend, Larry Manley of Connorsville, IN, and Rory Nicholas Manley-Siesielski of Los Angeles, CA.

He was preceded in death by one son, Isaiah Manley, on January 27, 1987.

Funeral services for Jeffrey will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010, in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, with Pastor Rich Siri and Pastor Tim Aydelotte officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 3, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in honor of Jeffrey may be made to the Salvation Army, 540 Carroll Street, South Bend, IN 46601; or to the Northern Indiana Food Bank, 702 Chapin Street, South Bend, IN 46601.
