Anyce Marie (Snyder) Bothast
June 26, 1956 ~ December 5, 2023
Anyce Marie Bothast, age 67, passed away unexpectedly December 5, 2023 at St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Born Anyce Marie Snyder on June 26, 1956, she was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Joyce Snyder. Anyce is survived by her husband, Steven Bothast, children Jessie (Kareem) Hammad and Tommy Bothast, grandchildren Eliana and Natasha, sister Jenny (Brian) Carlson, brother Joel (Margaret) Snyder, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Anyce graduated from Clay High School in 1974 and Indiana University at South Bend in 1978.
Anyce had a long career in the banking industry which took her and her family to several different cities across the country, eventually choosing to come back to South Bend to finish her career. She retired in 2020 and devoted her time to gardening, baking (her annual Christmas coffee cakes will be sorely missed), her many friends, and especially her grandchildren.
She deeply enjoyed listening to music, travel, watching tv shows about animals, a good bottle of red, and was a long time patron of the Potawatomi Zoo.
In lieu of flowers, Anyce would appreciate donations to the Humane Society, Potawatomi Zoo, or any animal refuge.
The family will arrange a celebration of Anyce’s life in the spring of 2024.
