Bonnie Lou (Nufer) Breden

Bonnie Lou Breden, 91, of South Bend passed away on January 6, 2024. Bonnie was born to the late Alfred J. and Fern Nufer on July 5, 1932, in South Bend, IN. Bonnie grew up in the area and graduated from Washington Clay High School. She went on to settle in the area and worked for Robertsons, Mother Goose Daycare, Clay High School, Burton’s Laundry as well as selling Avon Cosmetics.

Bonnie is survived by her children, S. Michael (Sherry) Borkowski, Mark Borkowski, Suzanne Wise; former daughter-in-law, Debbie Borkowski-Bridges; grandchildren, Michelle Polizzotto, Jake Borkowski, B.J. Borkowski, Ryan Biggs, and Misty Jameson; great grandchildren, Trey York, Brady York, Delaney Borkowski, Colin Biggs, Luke Polizzotto, Brice Bruington, Kaelyn Borkowski, Nicholas Borkowski, Olivia Duchac, Macy Jameson, Zarin Jameson and Payton Diroll; nephews, David Nufer and Thomas Nufer as well as many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Borkowski; granddaughter, Amie Burington; husband, Robert Miller; husband of 37 wonderful years, Cecil Breden; brother, Donald Nufer; sister-in-law, Louise Nufer and former husband, Gary Borkowski.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 10am-11am in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 11am. Bonnie will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Mishawaka next to her husband Cecil.
