Catherine Joan (McCammon) Fisher

November 26, 1960 ~ February 28, 2024 (age 63)

Catherine Joan McCammon Fisher passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, after a long illness.  Born November 26, 1960, in South Bend, Indiana to Charles and Mary Joan McCammon, she graduated from Clay High School and worked many years as an LPN. 

She married Van Fisher in 1978.  Their two children survive: her son, Vincent (Michele) and daughter Jamie (Jerry) Snyder.  Also surviving is grand-daughter Layla, grandson Anthony, great grand-daughter Audrey Mae and great grand-daughter Alena Jane, to be born in March.  Others include her mother, Mary Joan McCammon, her sister Heidi Ann (Bill) Leighty, nephew William Leighty, niece Amanda Leighty Newcomer and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her husband Van and her father, Charles W. McCammon.

A celebration of life with family and friends is to be announced at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home – Welsheimer North Chapel 17033 Cleveland Rd. South Bend, in 46635 is assisting the family with arrangements.
