In Memory

Joseph Timothy Lesicki - Class Of 1978

Joseph Timothy Lesicki

December 10, 1960 ~ April 4, 2024

Our beloved brother, uncle, friend, and best buddy, Joseph “Joe”, “Joey”, “JoJo” Timothy Lesicki, age 63, ascended into his heavenly home on April 4, 2024, passing away at his residence in Marion, Indiana.

Joe was born on October 12, 1960 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Alfred J. and Elizabeth (Sobecki) Lesicki. He graduated from Clay High School and went on to enlist in the United States Army, where he was beyond proud to serve his country and be an honorably discharged veteran.

Joe’s hobbies and interests included his vintage and classic “ho” slot car racing track sets, replicating the same ones he enjoyed as a child. Watching and collecting Nascar, building model cars, mechanics, and doing pencil drawings. He also found pleasure in his collection of “Star Wars” memorabilia, and he always had classic rock music playing in the background. Joe’s beautiful blue eyes and calm and sweet demeanor were a true reflection of his kind and gentle soul. Joe will remain in our hearts dearly, to be forever missed.

Joe is survived by sisters, Barbara Finneran, Judie (Julius) Horvath, Kathleen(Michael) Doyle, Bernadette Spainhower, Marianne Chrzanowski, Nancie Lesicki Swank, and dozens of loving nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, all whom will cherish the happy memories shared.

He was predeceased by parents Alfred and Elizabeth Lesicki, sister and brother-in-law Gloria and William Bennett, nephew William “Bill” Bennett II,  brother-in-law James(Jim) Spainhower, and “brother” in-law Mark Chrzanowski.

Combined services with his sibling Gloria, (please also see obituary for Gloria Bennett) will be held at Palmer Funeral Home-Welsheimer Chapel, 17033 Cleveland Rd., South Bend, Indiana on April 27th, 10:00 a.m., where family will receive visitors until services at 11:00 a.m., followed with a military honors burial at St. Joe Valley Cemetery. Gloria’s ashes will be interred to rest with her beloved at a private ceremony held at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to any veteran or disabled veteran support charity in his honor.
