Mary Kay Conroy

Oct. 14, 1955 - Nov. 21, 2005

 

Mary Kay Conroy, 50, loving mother of four children, of Granger, Indiana, passed away Monday, November 21, 2005, after a two-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was comforted by the presence of her family and died peacefully in her home.

Mary Kay was born on October 14, 1955, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Pete and Mary Battista. She moved with her family to South Bend, Indiana, in 1967, and had remained a resident of the area until the time she passed away.

Mary Kay is survived by four loving children, Katie, Danny, Shelby and Amy Conroy; her parents, Pete and Mary Battista; her brothers, Bob and Pete; sisters-in-law, Gogi and Beth; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles who adored her.

Mary Kay devoted her life to raising her children and volunteering in her community. She will be remembered for her uplifting personality, selflessness and dedication to family and friends. She will be greatly missed by the many people who love her.

Friends and family may call at the new McGann Hay Granger Chapel, Funerals, Cremations and Gatherings, 13260 SR 23 at Cherry Road, one block west of the McDonald's/Martin's Plaza, from 3 to 7 p.m. today, November 25. Funeral services will be at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, in St. Pius X Catholic Church, with visitation at 8:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 535 W. Edison Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
