Jeffrey Keith Towne

Jeffrey “Jeff” Keith Towne, 76, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024, in his hometown of South Bend, Indiana. He was born on April 24, 1947, to the late Thomas Walter and Carol Louise (Miller) Towne. Jeff was a lifelong resident of South Bend. He graduated from Clay High School in 1966. On April 29, 1972, Jeff was united in marriage to Kathy Anglin in Mishawaka, Indiana.They attended the South Side Church of God in South Bend and then Mishawaka First Church of God (Michiana Community).
Jeff was a journeyman in the printing bindery trade and worked for Ostheimer Printing Corp., South Bend. Following this, he dedicated many years of service as a deliveryman for Martin's Central Bakery, a role that suited his reliable and friendly demeanor. He retired in 2012.
Jeff enjoyed taking care of his yard, was an excellent painter, and took pride in his well-maintained vehicles. He had a contagious laugh and took his family on many summer trips like camping, visiting local amusement parks, and to the dunes at Lake Michigan.
Jeff was an avid Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed rooting for the Chicago Bears and most of all, his beloved Chicago Cubs. Jeff visited Wrigley Field many times.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Thomas Warren Towne.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Kathy Towne, and their loving sons, Jeremy (Raegan) Towne of Greenwood and Timothy (Melissa) Towne of Tipton; nine grandchildren, Taylor, Harrison, Lauren, Lydia, Ava, Samantha, Annabelle, Arie, and one on the way; brother, Richard (Sally) Towne of North Port, Florida; and several nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services to honor Jeff's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Palmer Funeral Home - River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, Indiana. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 11:00 am until the time of service.
