Bill's song has gone silent but his music plays on in our hearts. Anytime shared with Bill included music playing in the background. His CD collection was impressive, extensive, very selective and alphabetized! Bill's appreciation for good music was second only to his love for family and friends. He recognized that family was not only where life began but where love never ends. His attachment to family ran deep, as did his love for "Beamer". He walked many years alongside his most faithful companion, "Beamer" his trustworthy shepherd.
Bill was the firstborn son to Chet & Gladys Los. He came into this world on October 27, 1958 in South Bend, IN. He arrived having three older sisters, Brenda Grounds, Cheryl (Barry) Soos, Kim Los and two younger brothers followed. Chet (Tammy) Los and Dallas (Shelly) Los, all surviving. He graduated from Clay High School, class of 1977. He was preceded in death by his parents Chet and Gladys Los and brother-in-law Gary Grounds.
Throughout his life he relied on his innate abilities as a top-notch carpenter. He possessed many skills that resulted in project completion of the highest standard. His attention to details and ability to problem solve showed in his work. Bill had a level in his toolbox and he knew how to use it. He was always willing to use his knowledge to help others with their projects.
As a true sports enthusiast, he enjoyed motorcycle riding, NASCAR, Cubbies and Notre Dame Football. Bill's Love for ND football was matched only by "Dad's. They could be found together yelling at the TV during most games!
Bill was an enigma. He walked so gently through life and was so sensitive to the feelings of others and yet he navigated a solitary road. His sense of humor was sharp and disarming at times. If you knew Bill, you knew you better stay alert for his quick wit.
A life as full as Bill's, with all the ups and downs, inspired those who shared life with him. He always wore a smile and always had a kind or sarcastic remark to offer, depending on who you were. Bill was a devoted friend and brother, he believed honesty and humor cured all ills and lived by that creed. His journey illustrated that life is found in the roads you travel and the people you meet.
