Nancie Irene Lesicki
July 19, 1959 ~ July 2, 2025 (age 65)
Our beloved Nancie, 65 years old, loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend, ascended to her heavenly home on Wednesday July 2, 2025. Nancie was born on July 19,1959 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Alfred J. and Elizabeth (Sobecki) Lesicki. She graduated from Clay High School, and attended Indiana University, Bloomington classes in arts and writing. Ever the creative person, Nancie enjoyed writing poems, short stories, painting, drawing, and sewing. Nancie also enjoyed black and white photography, even using a darkroom to develop her photograph’s.
Nancie is survived by son Justin Lesicki-Lawton, and daughter Lara Chairez, both whom she loved immensely. She is also survived by sisters, Barbara Finneran, Judie (Julius) Horvath, Kathleen (Michael) Doyle, Bernadette (Bonnie) Spainhower, and Marianne Chrzanowski. She was preceded in death by parents Alfred and Elizabeth (Sobecki) Lesicki, brother Joseph Lesicki, sister and brother-in-law Gloria and William Bennett, nephew Bill Bennett, and brother-in-laws Jim Spainhower and Mark Chrzanowski. Nancie is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, and all will cherish the good memories shared with Nancie.
Choosing against somber services in a funeral home, private family services will be held at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN. Nancie is free now and most surely welcomed into His loving arms in heaven. And as Nancie would say at the end of nearly every phone call “God Bless”.
